Linnie Rosa Lee Morgan (nee Wingo) beloved wife of the late Phillip Morgan, Sr. dear mother of Phillip Morgan, Jr. & wife, Sheila, Gerry Morgan & wife, Kim, Elena MorganWeschenfelder & husband, Frederick and Charity Mitchell & husband, Christopher, grandmother of Justin Weschenfelder, Brittany Smith & husband Brian, Candice Anthony & husband Ryan, Gerry Weschenfelder and wife Maria, Caitlin Morgan, Madison Morgan, Dustin Mitchell and Austin Mitchell, great-grandmother of Virginia Smith and Levi Weschenfelder, passed to eternal rest on August 31, 2020. She is also survived by her sister, Lynda Schmidt, many cousins, nieces and nephews and extended family that loved and were loved by her greatly. She is preceded in death by her parents Cecil Wingo, Sr. and Mabel Todd Wingo, siblings Cecil Wingo, Jr., Billilee Webb and Gerry Wingo. In keeping with her request not to have a funeral, friends of the family can contact one of her children for information on a private gathering to celebrate her life and donate to or volunteer for the missions she supported in life, building Christian churches overseas and teaching English to immigrants to the United States to spread the love of Christ and the news of Christ's gift of Salvation.

Phillip Eugene Morgan, Sr., longtime resident of San Antonio, went to be with Jesus on March 24, 2012 at the age of 74. Mr. Morgan was born on May 30, 1937 in Denver, Colorado. He attended Lynwood High School in Lynwood, California and joined the Navy in 1955. Mr. Morgan served his country as Chief Petty Officer ADRC for 22 years. While stationed at Naval Air Station Corpus Christi, Texas, he met and married Linnie Rose Wingo on June 25, 1957 in Lake Jackson, Texas. After retiring from the Navy, Mr. Morgan worked as an Aircraft Inspector, DAR. Mr. Morgan is preceded in death by his parents, Alvin Eugene Morgan and Ruby Pauline Chalmers Higgins. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Linnie Morgan, his sister Carol Ann Morgan Hicks, his children Phillip E. Morgan, his wife Sheila, Gerry L. Morgan, his wife Kim, Elena L. MorganWeschenfelder, her husband Wes, Charity L. Morgan Mitchell, and her husband Chris. Mr. Morgan is also survived by his grandchildren, Candice, Caitlin, Madison, Justin, Brittany, Gerry, Dustin, and Austin. A memorial service was held on April 10, 2012 at Fort Sam National Cemetery at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations are made to the American Heart Association
